I wonder how many people died in the ancient world from rolling off their roofs while they were sleeping?
I may be wrong but I think they were required by law to have a parapet around their roof. If no parapet they were held responsible. Deut. 22:8

ReplyDeleteThat makes sense, I just don't know if they still continued that practice even after being conquered by the Persians, the Greeks, and finally the Romans.
However, I think the safest bet was that they probably did build a parapet around their roof. At least, it would be reasonable that they did!
